All Things New

Here it is:
I'm not a "sit-er".
Never have been and as much as I try I always turn in to the "do-er".
Design is something I've always dabbled in. Even as a 12 year old I can remember pulling tacky wallpaper off the bathroom wall without parental supervision and replacing it with perfectly eloquent wallpaper and paint to fit what I trusted was up to standard. Thus I learned-Aesthetics, aesthetics are key! Fast forwarding to college where most college kids were saving to buy Ramon noodles and Tostinos Pizza's, I was pinching pennies to buy thrift store furniture and paint. Until one glorious day, the day I realized how much orphaned furniture there is in the world. Why buy when you can have free? These poor unloved pieced sit on the curb during rain and shine while they await their fate (GASP)....the dumpster. I can't help but want to love them. A while ago I started rescuing these pieces, making them over and sharing the love. Some of my collection is bought with the desire to face lift but most are snatched off the spendid curb.

Thrifty is the name of the game.....and I'm ready to play!
